What is the most recent course you taught, and a highlight from that course?
“Currently, I am teaching biology courses, but I have the most students in Graduate Statistics (CNSL 503). This course is our only graduate-level course and has helped many students complete their prerequisites for graduate/doctoral programs.”
What do you appreciate about Portage Courses?
“I love the flexibility that Portage offers to students. Many students face barriers to traditional forms of higher education due to many factors, such as working full-time, family obligations, health issues, transportation, etc. Even online courses within a typical semester schedule can be difficult for some students who need more flexibility in their schedules. Our self-paced format allows students to finish their courses on their own time and around the important things in their lives.”
What do you enjoy most about teaching Portage Courses?
“The most enjoyable part about teaching Portage courses for me is meeting the students where they are and coming alongside them in their academic careers to help them meet their goals!”
