Portage Learning's mission is to provide quality academic preparation in college courses via accessible, interactive methods and to meet the entrance prerequisites and continuing needs of applicants to colleges and post-secondary schools, with the goal of assisting those schools in training and admitting well-prepared applicants who will positively impact the community.

With any form of history, there are valuable lessons to learn from the past. Such lessons are a compilation of both successes and failures. The history of the United States is no different. In truth, the history of the United States is the product of a number of other histories that influenced how the country came to be.
Portage also has truly dedicated faculty that bring years of experience and insights that shape the student experience. As experts within their respective fields, our faculty similarly offer valuable feedback to enrich course goals and learning objectives to the highest levels.
Procrastination and excuses go hand in hand. Let’s face it, this year we all have a mile-long list of valid excuses why we are behind on our goals. In these uncertain times, it has been hard to focus on what needs to be done. Whether you have been an essential worker on the front lines taking care of patients and your community or you have been confined to your home due to lockdowns, making deadlines and hitting goals has been exceptionally hard this year.
They are not just a registration to us; they are the students we serve. We have a responsibility to listen to what students are saying and what they are not saying, as well as discern what is behind their questions and help to anticipate a concern or an unknown issue.
