Making an Impact - Timothy Morrissettee and Contrary to Popular Belief

With plans to attend Johns Hopkins University, Timothy shared, “I am currently a student of Portage Learning. I wanted to write to inform you that I have been working with a colleague of mine in hopes to alleviate the burden COVID-19 has placed on the greater Spokane area. We have worked to quickly develop a safe option equipped with an EPA approved filter alternative to N95.

The mask is a protective ventilation mask made with antimicrobial canvas and a removable MERV-13 air filter designed to help defend your body against infectious diseases. It features a universal fit with a metal nose piece for shaping and an around-the-head elastic system to secure your mask and minimize exposure to airborne particles.

10% of mask sales will be donated on a weekly basis to organizations who have the greatest need. The first organization we are partnering with is Union Rescue Mission in downtown, Los Angeles. They are located nearby our factory and are doing incredible work to help the homeless through the COVID-19 crisis.

We are doing our best to get masks to as many individuals as we can as fast as possible to help combat this crisis and are hoping to get as much press coverage as possible for that purpose. As we all do our part, I hope this news reaches you well.”
